Science has discovered that traumatic emotional experiences get trapped in our bodies. Throughout our lives we subconsciously recreate the emotional experiences from our early childhood. We either our attracted to people who are similar to the people we grew up with or we try to get responses from people in our present day lives to replicate what we grew up with. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We have learned to live in our head and no longer feel our bodies. We do this because over time, all the trapped emotions create discomfort in our body. It’s difficult to feel so much discomfort. Being in our heads all of the time is a form of escapism to not have to feel what is going on in our bodies. Our heads consciously try to make sense of what our bodies are feeling and make up stories. This is often the negative self talk or the thoughts that loop in our head when we are trying to quiet our mind. Instead of quieting the mind, focus on your body and remember the memories associated with your bodily sensations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Focus on where your body feels discomfort and breathe into that area. Ask your body when it has felt this feeling before. This will help your body release memories associated with this body sensation and eventually lead you to identify the originating core wound. Try to get to a memory that occurred before the age of 5. The memories got trapped in our bodies because we froze. When you are able to uncover the earliest memory, try to re-write the memory so that you are able to fight or take flight. By re-writing the memory, you will release it from the body. This will raise your vibration and clear your subconscious beliefs about yourself and the world around you from these negative experiences.
